Technique of Writing

The writing technique is divided by :

1.Description

Description one of the common writing technique which the writer explain something, such as people, place, event or something else to reader. Accordingly, the reader will use the sense of feeling, smelling, tasting and any other experience of writer. This type is commonly found in newspapers, magazines and books.

2.Exposition
This type of writing is disclosing the writer's ideas and thoughts. The writer describe something in his/her thought so that the reader understand his/her dept ideas. Like descriptive writing, this writing can be found in newspapers, books and magazines.

3.Narration
Narration is writing a story. A story comprises characteristics, setting, time, problem and problem solving. Short story is such as bedtime, lunch time, while long story can be a novel.

4.Persuasion
Persuasion is type of writing in which writer presents fact and opinion so that the reader will know which one is right and wrong. The writer want to change the reader's opinion. Examples of persuasion can be found in editorials and letters to editor in newspapers and magazine.
5.Comparison and contrast.
This type of writing is comparing the similarities and differences of topic. For example, the lifestyle of 1940's and present.
We can use the above mentioned writing technique to communicate our ideas.
